Indian Summer~

Boisterous sun-rays

Burn shores gamboling with tints

Cuckoo sings and laughs

Lavish summer Sun

Folds me in its sun-drenched arms

Puts my heart on fire

  1. Lovely, Panchali. I smiled though as we have our own ‘Indian summer’ here. It is the idiomatic expression for the hot dry time that usually occurs late August. By the looks of the forecast we will be having it this week.

    • Oh, is that so? I was not really aware of it. Autumn is on its way here, with Goddess Durga and Her family.to arrive in a month and half…It’s raining everywhere, and very soon it’s going to get hot and humid again. We need no weatherman’s forecast..hahaha….
Thanks for your precious comment, Mary.:)

    • Thank you, Brian. Oh, I love that ‘Sun-wrapping’ during winter-time…summer rays are harsh here!! It’s been raining here as well. So, life is good. Smiles.

    • Philosophically yes…but, I hate summer months, nanka!! For me… it’s a sweating, miserable endurance test. ๐Ÿ˜€
Many thanks for that positive comment!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Like you, I much prefer autumn’s more moderate temperatures, Panchali – as well as the glorious colors of the foliage…..September is usually the best month of the year here on the west coast. I live in a valley so summer heat gets trapped and we swelter, too.

    • Oh yeah, Sherry. September-October are the best months for us too -though the weather in India varies dramatically. The disappearance of the monsoon marks the start of clear sunny skies, as well as the start of the tourist season, for most of India. Oh, so the winter is also milder in the west coast, I guess.
Thanks for your visit on this page, Sherry. Thrilled to have you here ๐Ÿ™‚
