Owl

In darkness of night

Owl stands on his hollow crag

Tearing the vacuum.

-X-

Eyes never seen light

Seeing flounce and filigree

His heart almost trips

-x-

Fierce one horned owls

Sitting on the lofty trees

Make nights uneasy

  1. Actually panchali they are quite harmless except for the scurrying mice and rats!! I have had the pleasure of seeing beautiful barn ows on my tree, the very same one where birds reside 🙂 I saw its bright shining eyes at night looking inside the room, its diving and swooping activity and also sitting like a blind owl during the day with the pesky crows pecking it!! 🙂

    • Oh, I love the last line of your comment, Nanka.!! Intriguing…” sitting like a blind owl during the day with the pesky crows pecking it!! “–WOW!! Sounds so poetic…you are a true poet, my friend.
..We also have a pair of white owlets on a huge tree next to our building… they are calm during the day, but go on a rampage at night.. Now I know why they behave like that…!:-)
      Many thanks…
